Gerardo Espinosa has come a long way from his origin. He was born in Ciudad Mexico, Mexico and raised in Puebla, Mexico. He has excelled not only in his home country but the U.S. as well. He has worked with celebrity chefs such as Aaron Sanchez and Debbie Gold. Back in his home country, having to provide for his family, he started out with honorable jobs. Throughout many years, he was a professional wrestler, police officer, and eventually a cook. Even back home, he was able to learn far more than what he anticipated from the restaurant business. Even though his professions were many, cooking became his passion.
Gerardo distinctly reminisces on his youth days in which his mother would cook. He fondly recalls the aroma of coffee early in the morning and the taste of the different spices that the Mexican dishes oh so delicately consist of.
